Dimi Schondelmayer

In 2019, I moved to Denver from Michigan. Shortly after, I began my career in education. The 23-24 school year will be my 4th year serving in Denver Public Schools District. My first role in the district was an Affective Needs Paraprofessional. I transitioned to a Behavior Technician, then a Student Support Liaison. Each role has taught me how valuable Whole-Child Support is, and I am very grateful to continue supporting students, staff, and families here. Before entering education I spent 7 years providing individual and community based support in organizations such as residential treatment programs, foster care and adoption agencies, community mental health centers, and advocacy programs for substance use recovery. In my personal time, I love to sing, play guitar, read, spend time with friends, and be outside. I also enjoy coaching and playing sports, specifically basketball and softball. I coached both of these sports at the middle school level last year and loved watching the kids learn, grow, and have fun! I enjoy other sports, too. I am just better suited at being a spectator. I don’t have any kids. However, I would like to foster (again) and possibly adopt later down the road.
