I’m Alexis and I’m thrilled to be a part of the Inspire team for my second year, serving as the Senior Team Lead for K-2 math. With nine years of teaching experience under my belt, spanning grades K-3, I bring a wealth of knowledge and passion to this role.

One of the most gratifying aspects of working with primary-aged students, for me, is witnessing their remarkable academic growth and observing the development of their unique personalities. I wholeheartedly believe that students thrive when they feel safe and cherished in their school environment. My dedication to fostering this atmosphere is unwavering.

I firmly hold the view that social-emotional learning forms the bedrock of academic achievement. As an educator, my mission is to cultivate strong relationships with both students and their families, ensuring an equitable experience for all. I am committed to making learning an enjoyable adventure for every student, constantly seeking out fun and engaging teaching methods.

While I hail from upstate New York, my teaching journey began in Northern Virginia during my six years in Washington, D.C. However, the allure of Colorado’s mountains and outdoor wonders beckoned, leading my husband and I to make the move in the summer of 2020. Now, our weekends are filled with hiking, camping, and embracing the great outdoors!

When I’m not at school, you’ll find me cozied up on the couch with a book and my giant lap dog, or out and about in Denver, either running, biking, or exploring the trails!
