Principal

I am excited for my fourth year at Inspire Elementary! It is truly an honor to work with such committed educators and caring families.

I have worked in education for over 20 years. I earned a master’s degree in Counseling from New York University and a School Building Leadership certificate from City University of New York, Baruch College. I started my educational work in a school in lower Manhattan, NYC. I thought I would be there for a couple of years and stayed there for twelve. It was at this school that I really learned something about education. I learned to be more patient, to laugh, and to work toward something I believed in. I learned that students thrive when adults are structured, believe in them, say sorry when we make mistakes and are flexible. I moved to Colorado in 2015 and worked in Douglas County and Aurora before coming to DPS.

I have worked on the non-profit side of education, in youth development, student activities, teaching, advising, counseling and administration. These diverse roles have given me a unique perspective of education. As the Principal of Inspire Elementary, my goal is to help students be successful by supporting the educators who work tirelessly in and out of the classroom. I am proud to work alongside such caring, dedicated people.

When I am not working, I am with my husband and my daughter, a ten-year-old who is smarter than me, pushes me to be a better person, and gives me the best hugs!
