Dear Inspire Elementary School Community,
After a robust and thorough principal selection process, we are excited to announce that Linda August has been selected as the new principal of Inspire Elementary School. We are confident Principal August will build upon the many strengths of Inspire and that she will carry on and expand Inspire’s strong foundation of success for students.
Linda August has been in education for 19 years. She earned a Master’s Degree in Counseling from New York University (NYU) and a School Building Leadership certificate from City University of New York, Baruch College. She started her educational work in a school in lower Manhattan (NYC).
She moved to Colorado in 2015 and worked in Highlands Ranch before working in Aurora. She has worked on the non-profit side of education, in youth development, student activities, teaching, advising, counseling and has administrative experience. These various roles have provided her a unique perspective of education. As the Principal of Inspire Elementary, her goal is to help students be successful by supporting the educators who work tirelessly in and out of the classroom.
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who contributed input and feedback into the selection process. A huge thank you and our sincerest gratitude also goes out to the interviewing committees – ILT, CSC, and SPSAC, for their hard work and being an integral part of this process. These committees served the school community very well and their unwavering commitment to the ongoing success of Inspire throughout the hiring process was apparent at every turn. We also want to thank the greater Inspire Elementary School Community for providing such rich feedback after viewing the candidate’s videos. We appreciate your engagement in this remote setting.
