Dear Inspire ECE Families:

We are so very excited for our Inspire ECE classrooms to open on Monday!
With the launch of this new program, the teachers and para professionals have several online training modules to complete for state licensing. In order to meet the needs of our ECE Team, we are designing the ECE Assessment Day schedule to support our team with time for their required trainings on Friday August 23rd. Inspire ECE students will not have school that day. The ECE students will attend school August 26, 2019, which is the second assessment day for K-4. This decision is in alignment with the instructional philosophy of our ECE teachers, who spend the first few weeks of school building community in their classrooms and supporting the socialization of our youngest learners. The teachers will be informally assessing the ECE students through observations the first few weeks of school. The formal assessment process begins later in the year for ECE. The teachers will share information about the learning goals and assessment process at curriculum night on September 12th from 5-6pm.  As a reminder, there is also a previously scheduled Professional Development/No Student Contact day on August 30th.
