Sara Lewis
4th-Grade Teacher

Sara Lewis was born and raised in the great state of Georgia. She and her husband David moved to colorful Colorado in 2014.

Sara earned her Bachelor’s (’06) and Master’s (’08) Degrees in Early Childhood Education from Piedmont College in Athens, Georgia. She most recently earned her Doctor of Education (Ed.D) in Teacher Leadership from Walden University in 2014. From 2008-2014 she loved every minute of teaching third, fourth, and fifth grade at Oglethorpe Avenue Elementary School in Athens, Georgia. Sara taught sixth grade grade reading in Green Valley Ranch in Denver, Colorado in 2014. Most recently she taught a mixed age 4th and 5th grade crew at Joe Shoemaker elementary school from 2015-2019. Sara can’t decide which subject she likes teaching the most, but she LOVES teaching fourth and fifth graders!

When Sara is not teaching, she enjoys spending time with her husband David, her dog Ivy, and her friends. She loves to dance, read, sing, knit, scrapbook, and play outside as much as possible! In the summer, Sara makes memories climbing Colorado 14ers, traveling to visit friends and family down south, camping, hiking, and relaxing in a rocking chair on her front porch.
