Lacey is a passionate and proud teacher since 2008. She has a degree in Special Education from Metropolitan State University of Denver. Before coming to Inspire in the 2020/2021 school year, she taught at Westerly Creek for 7 years and at University Park for 4. For the last 7 years at Westerly Creek Lacey has been a Mild/Moderate Special Educator who teaches students from Kindergarten through 5th grade with a variety of needs including Literacy, Math, Executive Functioning and Social Skills development. There she was able to help exceptional learners show more growth than any other elementary school in DPS. While at University Park she taught students with emotional needs and with the help of an amazing team, her program produced several success stories by creating a positive, nurturing learning environment. Lacey’s passion for teaching is obvious as her patient and kind demeanor shines though as a teacher. She is married and has two young boys, Oliver “Oli” and Niles who both attend Inspire. She grew up in Norman Oklahoma, lived in San Diego for four years before moving to Denver in 2000. She loves being a mom, spending time with family and friends, snowboarding, hiking, shopping, gardening, and traveling.
